Did you ever wonder what could happened if a witch's cat feels lonely and steals its mistress' magic wand? Here it is!
Hello everyone!
Today I'm on the Heffy Doodle blog with a rainbow card featuring the Pandtastic Painters stamp set and the Rainbow Builder Stencil.
I started by stamping the panda from the Pandtastic Painters stamp set on a piece of Heffy Doodle alcohol marker friendly cardstock and I used a light pencil to trace the rainbow using the Rainbow Builder Stencil (I started from the small arch). I colored the images using Copic markers, starting from the rainbow: I used the lightest color of every shade to define the rainbow, then I colored the single arches from pink to lilac.
COPIC COLORS LIST
- PINK: RV000, RV21, RV23, RV25
- RED: R00, R20, R22, R24, R29
- ORANGE: YR00, YR04, YR07, YR09
- YELLOW: Y000, Y11, Y15, Y17, YR23
- GREEN: YG00, YG03, YG06, YG09
- LIGHT BLUE: B00, B02, B05, B06
- LILAC: BV0000, BV00, BV02, BV04
- BRUSH : BG11, BG13, BG18, E31, E33
- PANDA: C03, C05, C07, C09, R20
- WOODEN FLOOR: W00, W01, W03, W05
Once I was done with the markers, I added more dark shades with colored pencil and used a white gel pen to add highlights. I wasn't happy with the white background though, so I decided to create a wooden floor using W00s markers and I also decided to add the paint bucket. As you can see in the picture above, I originally did not include it: I stamped it, colored it and fussy cut it to add it to the card when it was almost completed. ^^
For the sentiment, I stamped the "you are my happy place" on Heffy Doodle black cardstock using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I love Heffy Doodle cardstock, is thick and smooth and it's perfect for embossing!
At this point, I trimmed the colored panel a bit and rubbed an old black ink pad on the edges of the cardstock: I love doing it when my card front has white edges 'cause it gives more depth to the panel. It's hard to see in the pictures, but it really gives a nice effect in person.
Finally I added the sentiment and glued the image on a black card base.
That's all for today: see you soon with another Color Me Happy project!
Happy crafting.
Clo
