Rainbow Leaf Garland Card - Heffy Doodle New Release
I be-leaf in you..
Hey there! I have one last card to share with you with products from the new Heffy Doodle release.
For today's card I used the following new products: Forest Leaves dies, the fabolous Woodgrain Texture Background die and Nuts About You stamp set for the sentiment. I rarely make cards without stamped images but I have to admit that this one is probably my favorite of the three cards I made so far!
First of all, I took a sheet of watercolor paper and watercolored ten small rectangles using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in the following colors:
Hot pink: 25
Pink: 200
Red: 20
Orange: 70
Yellow: 50
Green: 41
Teal: 42
Light blue: 31
Blue: 32
Violet: 80
While they were drying, I trimmed down a piece of white cardstock into a 4 x 5.5'' panel and I used the Woodgrain Texture Background die to create the wood effect.
I splattered both the white and the colored sheets with Gansai Tambi Gold watercolor, then I used one of the Forest Leaves dies to cut out a leaf from every color. I also used a gold gen pen to emphasize the stitches in every leaf. At this point I placed the leaves to make a rainbow garland and I used foam squares to keep them in place.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the Nuts About You stamp set on black cardstock and trimmed it down, then place it on the card using foam squares. Finally, I attached the white panel to a kraft cardstock card base.
That's all for today! Don't forget the amazing pre-orders deal!
Happy crafting.
