For this special occasion I created my first Christmas card of the year using the Deer to Me stamp set and coordinating dies.

First of all, I stamped the images on Heffy Doodle alcohol friendly cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink; I used the deers, the mouse and the trees from the Deer to Me stamp set, while the apples and the bow are from the Quill You Be Mine stamp set. I colored them with Copic markers in the following colors:

DEERS: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37, R20
TREES: W01, W03, W05, W07
APPLES: R20, R22, R24, R29
MOUSE: E00, E02
BOW: BG11, BG13, BG18

Once they were done, I added details with a white gel pen and use the Deer To Me and the Quill You Be Mine coordinating dies to cut them out. I later fussy cut the birch trees to use them on the background 'cause I liked them more without the white border.

For the background, I ink blended a piece of Heffy Doodle White Cardstock using Distress Oxide Black Soot, Peacock Feathers and Broken China, then I splattered it with white Acrylic paint. When it was dry, I used the biggest Imperial Stitched Rectangles die to cut the panel, then I glued the vertical birch trees over it. I also die cut another rectangle and created two hills using a die from the Slimline Scenery Dies and ink blended them with Peacock Feathers and Broken China Oxide inks.

I wanted some sparkle on my card so I used Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter on the hillside borders, then I glued one of them over the background and I covered everything with a piece of vellum using glue dots on the trees to keep it in place. Before sealing it completely, I added some Chunky Glitter behind the vellum: yes, it's hard to tell from the pictures but this is actually a shaker card!

Once I was done with the background, I stamped the "To a deer friend" sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also used the Winter and Wishes Heffy Cuts on a piece of Heffy Doodle Alcohol Friendly cardstock and I colored them with R20s Copic Markers. Then I finally added the lower hill to the shaker base and put all the images in place using foam squares.
Fot the white base, I die cut two scallop rectangles using the Slimline Pull Tab big die and did a bit of trim/glue for turning them into a single A2 card base.

That's all from me! Don't forget to comment on each blog for a chance to win a £50 voucher to the Heffy Doodle store!
You should have come from Zsofia Molnar and the next stop is Ali Farmer.

Happy crafting.
