You Are So Awesome Shaker Card - Heffy Doodle new release

Fall is coming as the new Heffy Doodle release is!

Yay for today! All the new goodies have been revealed and pre-orders are open at the Heffy Doodle website!! Go place your order to get the absolutely adorable Mole Lotta Love stamp set for free!

For today's card I used the following products from the new release: Nuts About You stamp set, Awesome Shadow Heffy Cuts die, Tree-mendous Peekaboo die and the fabolous Woodgrain Texture Background die. I always wanted to make a shaker card with falling leaves but I never found the proper stuff for doing it, I was so happy when I saw these goodies on the new release!!

First of all, I stamped the squirrels from the Nuts About You stamp set and colored them with Copic Markers (E10s), then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I set them aside and ink blended a piece of Heffy Doodle white cardstock using Distress Oxide Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple, then I splattered it with Gansai Tambi gold watercolor. I used the same gold for coloring a piece of watercolor paper that I later used for die cutting the leaves and the Awesome Shadow Heffy Cuts die, while I used a piece of vellum for the Awesome background.

I took a sheet of kraft cardstock and ran it into my Big Shot with the Woodgrain Texture Background, then I die cut the tree using the Tree-mendous Peekaboo die. I used Gathered Twigs and Carved Pumpkin Oxide to spice up the tree and I glued it over the ink blended panel, with a yellow grass border I die cut using the Grassy Lass Border dies; I also attached the squirrels (and later some of the leaves) to the background using glue or foam squares.
I searched through my stash and found some cardstocks that could match the background, so I could use them for die cutting the tiny leaves that comes with the Tree-mendous Peekaboo die. I chose these ones but there are so many more to chose from, stitched and not!

At this point I needed the frame for my shaker card and I easily made one by using the Imperial Scalloped Frames die over a piece of white cardstock where I previously used the Woodgrain Texture Background die. I put a piece of acetate behind the frame and used Heffy Doodle 3mm foam tape for adhering the frame over the background. Obviously, I added the shaking elements before closing it completely and I also used a Powder Tool to prevent the leaves from sticking to the foam tape and the acetate.
I heat embossed the "You Are So" words over a little piece of kraft carstock, trimmed it down and finally added the sentiments and a couple of leaves over the acetate. The last thing I did was attaching the shaker card to a bigger kraft card base.

I'm using this card for entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

Happy crafting.
