Super Papa Bear Card

Daddy, you're my superhero!

I made this card for my husband's birthday: I always struggle for masculine cards so I though I could make a simple one without having to stamp or color too much.

For the background, I die cut a circle from masking paper and placed it in the middle of the panel. I ink blended Distress Oxides Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire, Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry to recreate a sunset sky. Once it was dried, I removed the circle and added the negative piece to cover the sky, I stamped a bear from Mama Elephant Little Superhero Agenda and then I blended Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade to recreate the sun.

I used a black permanent marker to fill the bear shape, a white gel pen for adding the stars and I heat embossed the sentiment from Mama Elephant Tiny Heroes using white embossing powder.
I die cut the cityscape from Mama Elephant Slim Film City on black cardstock and added the lights with a white gel pen; I used Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin and Squeezed Lemonade on a piece of cardstock and die cut the PAPA letters using Mama Elephant Whimsy Alphas dies. The BEAR word was made using a die from La Coppia Creativa called Piccolo Alfabeto.
Once I was done, I glued everything and place and adhered the scene on a white card base using foam tape.
