Wedding Hogs Card
Sending Hogs and Kisses to a newly wed couple!
It's not a secret that I adore Aida Zamora's critters and these pigs are my favorite of them all! They are perfect for love cards so what could be better for sending hugs and kisses to a newly wed couple? I decided to pair them with this adorable wreath and flowers, also designed by Aida, that give the card the floral touch that every wedding card should have.
First of all, I stamped the pigs from Mama Elephant Hog and Kisses, the wreath and the flowers from Mama Elephant Birdie Wreath and the banner from Mama Elephant Hippity Hop using Antique Linen Distress Ink for doing no line coloring.
I couldn't achieve a good result with Copic Markers on the wreath and watercoloring the pigs with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, so I decided to mix and match: I kept the watercolored wreath and banner (plus a couple of flowers) and the Copic colored pigs and roses.
I used Versafine Onyx Black ink to stamp the sentiment on the banner then I used the coordinating dies to cut all the images.
For the background, I ink blended a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide in Abandoned Coral and Tattered Rose, then splattered it with white Distress Spray Stain and Gansai Tambi Gold and Carmine watercolors. Once it dried, I used foam squares to put everything in place and finally glued the panel to a white card base.
