Unicorn Picnic Slimline Reveal Wheel Card
A super cute birthday party today...
I made this card for one of my daughter's little friends: who could appreciate unicorns more than a 5 years old girl?!
I stamped the images from Lawn Fawn Unicorn Picnic using Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and I colored them with Copic Markers, then I die cut them using coordinating dies. For the top unicorn, I used the die from the Unicorn Picnic Reveal Wheel add on.
I wasn't in the mood for ink blending, so I thought "Why not using the beautiful papers from the Watercolor Wishes pad?". They make a rainbow that perfectly matches the unicorns I colored so they were perfect! I die cut the papers using the Puffy Cloud Borders and then used the bottom part of the Reveal Wheel die to create the stitched borders. On the bottom of the green piece I stamped the sentiment from the set using Versacolor Fresh Green ink.
I created the top part of my card by using the Reveal Wheel die on the yellow/orange paper and then I cut the spinning scallop circle from white cardstock. Using the coordinating stencil, I stamped three different faces for the little cloud and then I gently blended the borders using Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade. You cannot see it in the pictures, but I also used the clear Wink of Stella on the cloud and the unicorns for a shiny, glittery look.
When I was done with all the pieces of the background, I glued them together and assembled the Reveal Wheel Mechanism on a white rectangle. I placed all the stamped elements using foam tape, then I cut out the little recipient's name using Lawn Fawn Quinn's Capital ABC dies on holographic cardstock and added them over the sentiment.
For filling some wide spaces I used sequins from Little Things from Lucy's cards various mixes ans I finally adhered the card on a slightly bigger kraft card base.
