You Mean a Latte to Me Card

💜 Tea is a hug in a cup 💙

Welcome back to my crafty blog! Today I wanna share the first card I made using products from the new Heffy Doodle Release: I'm so excited, there are so many awesome stuff to choose from!

Something that immediately caught my eye was the Love is Everywhere stencil and I decided to pair it with the Perfect Blend stamp set to create this super cute love card.

I started by stamping the mug from the Perfect Blend stamp set and the koala baby from the Koality Hugs stamp set and I colored them using Copic markers.

COPIC LIST
KOALA: W1, W3, W5, W7, W9 - E00, E02, R20
MUG: BG11, BG13, BG 15, BG18 - B00, B02, B05 - B91, B93, B95, B97 - V12, V15, V17

I added highlights with a white gel pen and I used the Perfect Blend coordinating dies to cut the mug out-for the koala, I decided to fussy cut him as he was so little and I don't like the white border on such tiny images. Anyway, when they were ready, I glued the critter over the cup and set them aside.

I created the background on a piece of Heffy Doodle white cardstock: I used the Love is Everywhere stencil and ink blended Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet. Once I was done, I splattered white and silver watercolor over the panel and trimmed it down to a square, then I used a square die to create a center piece with a frame around it.

I glued the center piece over a kraft cardstock square; I made a white card base and I glued the outer frame over it, then I added the kraft/heart panel above. I really like the tiny kraft border!

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the one from the Tea Time Sentiment stamp set on a strip on black cardstock and I die cut it using dies similar to the Strips of Ease; the cardstock I used was shorter than the card so I also made a flag strip using a similar More Strips of Ease die and created a sort of banner with these two pieces.

I finally added both the koala and the sentiment to the card using little foam strips.

See you soon with another project!
Happy crafting.
