The Birthday Bash rainbow card

Time for another rainbow card!

My birthday will be this week: what better excuse for making a rainbow card?!
I had so much fun with my last card stacking all the wild animals and I basically did the same thing with another Mama Elephant Stamp set called The Birthday Bash. I really like ME crowd stamp 'cause you just need to color them and the card is done, but mostly 'cause I love to stack them up for creating massive critters backgrounds :D

This time I wanted more sparkle-it's my birthday card, after all!-so I decided to use a silver embossing powder. I created my background by masking the stamp several times, adding balloons here and there where I needed a medium area to be covered. Once I was done, I colored everything with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and finally added an embossed outline to both my watercolored panel and kraft base.

I struggled a lot for the sentiment: my first intention was to use some vellum and add the sentiment over it but, though it was cool in person, I wasn't able to get a good effect on camera. I finally decided to emboss a small phrase from Birthday Messages and colored it to match my panel. Did somebody say cake?

I'm using this card for entering the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
