Sending Love Mini Slimline Card
Sending hugs your way!
Today I'm sharing this colorful mini sort-of-slimline card made using only a single product from Heffy Doodle: the Yappy Happy Mail stamp set! I really like this format because the recipient could easily use this card as a bookmark. This is a card I made last year, but I just realized I never shared it on my blog.
First of all, I chose a small rectangle die from my stash to have an idea of the space I had to fill with the images. Then I took the envelopes and hearts stamps from the Yappy Happy Mail stamp set and I stamped them multiple times on a piece of kraft cardstock using a Misti stamping tool.
When I had filled almost all the space, I colored the images using Prismacolor colored pencils in rainbow order. That was a challenge: I'm still not very good with this medium and I really need to improve my skills, yet I love using colored pencils because they make me feel like a happy little girl coloring cute images LOL
As you can see in the image below, I left some blank space at the bottom because I wanted to be sure those image would fill the blank spaces perfectly. I used the die on the panel, then I added images where needed and finished coloring.
I heat embossed a sentiment from the Yappy Happy Mail stamp set using black embossing powder, then I trimmed a piece of Heffy Doodle black cardstock to create a rectaNgle and I glued the colored panel over it. I prefered not to make a foldable card base as, this way, it will make easier to use the card as a bookmark.
Thanks for stoppin' by and happy crafting!
Claudia
