I Love You Slimline Rainbow Card
Today I wanna share with you my latest card. It's a slimline themed card for Valentine's day that featured the Quill You Be Mine stamp and dies and the Slimline Mini Mail dies.
I stamped the critter from the Quill You Be Mine stamp set on a piece of Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock and I colored it using Copic markers. I die cut it with its coordinating die and I added details with a white gel pen.
I took a sheet of Heffy Doodle white heavy cardstock and I ink blended little sections of it using Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet. I used the two little envelope dies from the Slimline Mini Mail dies set to cut the envelopes and I assembled them using double sided tape. I later decided to emphasize the shadows using Prismacolor pencils because they weren't really visible on camera and the whole card appeared too flat.
I used Copic markers to color little spots of Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friendly cardstock and I used some little dies to get tiny hearts-they were from Slimline Mini Mail dies, Yappy Happy Mail coordinating dies and the Coffee Cup Shaker dies. I later used clear Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.
For the background, I made a 3,5 x 8,5" black card base and I used the Slimline Mini Mail big die on a piece of white cardstock, then I splattered both of them with Gansai Tambi white pearl watercolor.
While they were drying, I stamped the I Love You sentiment from the Absotoothly Awesome stamp set on a piece of black cardstock and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder, then I trimmed it down.
When the backgrounds were ready, I placed all the elements on the card using glue and double sided adhesive.
