Santa Paws Christmas Card

Santa Paws is coming to town...

Today I wanna share with you this holiday card I made using many Heffy Doodle supplies including the Yappy Happy Mail stamps and dies set, the Wanna Build a Snowman stamps and dies and the Santa Village stamps and dies set. All the other supplies are listed on the rest of the blog post!

This card required a lot of work and imagination but it's the type of card I love the most!
First of all, I stamped all the images on a sheet of Heffy Doodle Alcohol marker friendly cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and I used the matching marker to draw the Santa suit on the biggest dog.

Here's a list of where all images come from:
- DOGS and LETTER: Yappy Happy Mail stamps and dies
- SNOWMAN, SCARF AND HAT, STAR: Wanna Build a Snowman stamps and dies
- TREES, tall pile of GIFTS and CANDY CANE: Santa Village stamps and dies
- SLEIGH/WAGON ans its PRESENTS: Farmyard Fun stamps and dies
- GIFTS: A Little Shellfish stamps and dies, Koality Hugs stamps and dies
The Santa hat and the bottom of the sleigh are from other companies' stamp sets.

I colored all images using Copic Markers (E10s, R20s and BG10s), I added details with a white gel pen and I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out. I created the sleigh using the wagon from the Farmyard Fun stamps set (I just masked the wheels) and I hand draw the missing parts. I fussy cut the scarf and the hat and I used them to turn the puppies into perfect holiday characters! Later I used white paint to add little splatters to the images for a snowy effect.

I chose a sentiment from the Holiday Sentiments Duo stamp set and I heat embossed it on a piece of cardstock (previously ink blended with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina) using gold embossing powder, then I used a More Strips of Ease similar die to cut the sentiment out and I attached it over a red cardstock strip. At this point, I glued the hills to the sky and I used foam squares to add all the colored images and die cuts. Finally I glued the card over a striped card base-you can make you own by using the Candy Store (Thin Diagonal Stripes) stencil.

I'm using this card for entering the November Simon Says Stamp Instagram Challenge "Happy Holidays" and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge "Christmas"

Thanks for reading and happy crafting!
