Tea-rrific Friend Card

  1. Fancy a cup of tea?

Today I wanna share this colorful card I made using the Heffy Doodle  Pandtastic Painters stamp and dies, the Perfect Blend stamp and dies set, the Tea Time Sentiments stamp set and the Simple Sunburst stencil.

I stamped the cup from the Perfect Blend stamp set several times on Heffy Doodle Alcohol Marker Friend Cardstock and I colored them as a rainbow using Copic markers. I also stamped and colored a panda from the Pandtastic Painters stamp set, then I cut all the images out using the Perfect Blend and the Pandtastic Painters coordinating dies.

I prepared the sun rays background using Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade over the Simple Sunburst stencil and I added splatters of white pearl watercolor. For the colorful background, I took a piece of Heffy Doodle Heavy Cardstock and I ink blended Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Wilted Violet.

When both backgrounds were ready, I used two large square dies to cut the pieces out and I also trimmed down a piece of kraft cardstock slightly bigger than the sun rays panel.

For the sentiment, I heat embossed the phrase from the Tea Time Sentiments stamp set using white embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock, then I used Copic markers to color the TEA-RRIFIC letters in rainbow order. That's a very cool effect! At this point I simply glued the bases together and added the images and the sentiment using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
