Happy Mother's Day to all moms out there!

It's always a challenge for me to color flowers, especially with watercolors, but I had to give it a try for this amazing Mama Elephant Corner Flowers illustrated by Anna Osvald.


I stamped the flowers and the bunnies on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock using Distress Oxide Antique Linen for doing no line coloring: I colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, then added shades with Prismacolor pencils and a gold gel pen for the flowers' bottoms.
For the background, I masked white cardstock using a square die as a guide and I blended Distress oxide Milled Lavender and Shaded Lilac. I added splatters of White, Gold and Purple Gansai Tambi watercolors, then I removed the masking tape and heat embossed the sentiment using Gold Embossing Powder.
