Oink Oink! I love you card
I love you pig time..
This weekend will be the 12th anniversary of my first date with my husband and that surely needs a celebration card! I have a special thing for piggies so what better set to use than Mama Elephant Hogs and Kisses? Aida Zamora's illustrations are the best.
I started by stamping the piggies-and the balloons from Fly With Me stamp set-and I colored them with Copic Markers (see color list at the end of the post). I also decided to take out Prismacolor pencils and used them to intensify the shadows, especially on the balloons.
For the sentiment I used the "Oink Oink (that means I love you)" from the main stamp set and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock. I then used the banner from Mama Elephant Basic Set to cut out the sentiment. I also decided to add the "Sending all my love" from Mama Elephant Occasional Labels stamped with Distress Oxide Candied Apple and I finally added some details with a white gel pen.

Once I was done with the coloring, I cut the panel using the biggest rectangle from Mama Elephant Basic Rectangles dies. I masked the edges and all the images and I die cut another panel using Mama Elephant Cloudy Day Cover die: I used it as a stencil for my background while I was ink blending Distress Oxide in Tattered Rose and Abandoned Coral. I wasn't entirely happy of the result though, so I used Prismacolor pencils here and there and added some details to the clouds.
