Papa I love you card

Daddy, I love you...

March 19th (Saint Joseph) is Father's Day here in Italy. My dad sadly passed away in 2008, but I love to make Father's Day cards for my husband. I really needed something to cheer me up from this horrible Coronavirus situation and I decided to use my favorite color combo that also happens to be perfect for a sea background.

I bought Mama Elephant Otterly Adorable stamp set a while ago on purpose for this occasion and I paired it with the new Whimsy Alphas dies, which have become my new crafty addiction. I can't wait to use them again, they're adorable!!

I started by stamping the otters and color them with E30s Copic Markers and die cut them with their matching dies.

For the background, I ink blended a piece of paper using Distress Oxide in Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet and I cut it several times using the waves dies from the stamp set. I did the same for the Papà word using Whimsy Alphas dies and a sentiment from La Coppia Creativa, then I cut the letters 2 more times and glued them together for adding more dimension.
I made the main panel cutting the biggest Basic Rectangles die and a circles from Sizzix. I glued my waves pieces to the base, added the white panel and placed over it the otters, the letters and some random kraft hearts.
