Magical Shooting Stars Shaker Card

Today I introduce you to my own version of the Magical Rain Shaker Card by Bagatelas de Papel: the Magical Shooting Stars Shaker Card!

I adore the concept of the Magical Rain card and I was making one while I was struck by a crazy idea: why not turning the rain into shooting stars?! I was also eager to use the wonderful dreamy bunny from Mama Elephant's Hippity Hop and this was the perfect occasion!!

First of all I created the backgroung with Distress Oxide in the following order:
- Black Soot all over
- Chipped Sapphire on the top portion
- Wilted Violet and a bit of Wild Honey in the middle
- Faded Jeans at the bottom

I let it dry then splatter water and some White Platinum acrylic paint to recreate the stars. Then I cut out my frame using the biggest die from Mama Elephant Hug It Out Framed Tags. I do not own yet dark green Oxides, so I took a piece of olive cardstock and blended Green Tea VersaColor and Oxide Black Soot for making it darker, then I cut it out with the Landscape Trio hills dies. I found a perfect sentiment on the Shooting Star stamp set and I heat embossed it in white.

I stamped the little bunny with Scrapbook.com Hybrid black ink and watercolored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush. The hardest part was fussy cut him, especially the whiskers, but I eventually found out that leaving a little white around them would be the only way to let them show up in the card. ^_^

At this point I took my card base, I glued the middle piece then I added foam tape on the borders and started adding my stars with nylon thread and clear silver beads. Once I was happy with the result, I added another layer of foam tape and glued everything at its place.

Here's a quick video for showing you the result: I love it!!
