Mole Lotta Love Shadow Box Card

When the moon is lookin' down, shinin' light upon your ground
I'm flyin' up to let you see that the shadow cast is me..

Hello everyone! Today I present you my very first Heffy Doodle Shadow Box card! I decided to make another Valentine's day card and I couldn't help on using the adorable Mole Lotta Love stamp set, paired with the Big Shadow Box Die and the Woohoo - Shadow Heffy Cuts, to create a romantic moonlight scene.

First of all, I took a sheet of Heffy Doodle white cardstock and trimmed it down to create two smaller pieces (around 6.5'' x 4.75'') that could fit the Big Shadow Box Die; I used a 1.5" circle die on masking paper to create the Moon and I used the shadow box die as a guide for trying to adhere it as best as I could in the middle of my future sky.

I then ink blended both pieces with Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire, with a bit of Black Soot to darken up the edges: I also did the same on the inner sides because, since it's a 3D card, the recipient can clearly see them in person and I didn't want them to be white against the blue background. Once I was done with that, I splattered both pieces with a metallic white watercolor to create the stars and let them dry.

At this point I used the Big Shadow Box Die on the blue panels to create the two parts of the box and attached them on one side only. I used the hill die from the Slimline Scenery dies on a piece of green cardstock and ink blended the bottom with Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn to create some shadows, then I glued the hill on the outside of the box. Since I used a slimline die, one piece was long enough to fit all three sides-excluding the backside-of the box at once: so cool!! I finished assembling the card box and then I used the other green piece to create two hills that could fit the inside of the box.

Next step was stamping and coloring the moles from Mole Lotta Love stamp set, the heart from Pantastic Painters, the tag from Popping By and the flowers from Deer to me Stamp set and coloring them with Copic markers. I used the following colors:

MOLES: W01, W03, W05, W07 - E00, E02
HEART: R20, R22, R24, R29
FLOWERS: YG03, YG06, YG09 - R22, R29 - RV21, RV25
TAG: E00, E02

All images were then cut out with their coordinating die and placed on the card using little foam squares.

Now to the sentiment: firstly I heat embossed the sentiment from the Mole Lotta Love stamp on a piece of red cardstock and I made the banner using a die similar to the ones on the Strips of ease die set. I also die cut the Woohoo - Shadow Heffy Cuts on a piece of the same cardstock and finally glue them both in place on the card. I also added some tiny hearts that I had left from my latest project.

I'm using this card for entering the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (With Love) and the Simon Says Stamp February Instagram Challenge (Love and Friendship).

I hope you liked my project and feel free to comment if you need to ask anything!
See you soon and happy crafting.
