Yeti Holidays shaker card

by - 4:32 PM

I joined a handmade card swap recently and I decided to make a card using my favorite colors.

I knew I wanted to make a shaker card with the awesome Winter Forest die and this was the perfect occasion!

I decided to pair it with the cute yeti and children from Me and My Yeti: I stamped the images using Lawn Fawn Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copic Markers using blue and purple tones (BV00s and B90s). Note to self: do not color a purple yeti unless you want him to look like a zombie LOL

For the background panel I ink blended Distress Oxides in Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch and Shaded Lilac. I die cut the Winter Forest Cover die and added some shading with Shaded Lilac on the bottom part; while this was done, I cut a matching acetate piece, I glued them together, added the background panel with foam tape adhesive then filled my shaker card with Stix 2 Clear Plastic Beads before "closing" it up. The final thing I did was adding my characters using foam squares in different eights to get more dimension.

I'm using this card for entering  Simon Says Instagram Challenge.
